Tabit Office
Improvement
Infrastructure enhancements to Tabit Office
Tabit Office infrastructure has been enhanced for improved speed and performance
Enhancement
New filter for availability-excluded menu items
HQ menu admins can now quickly identify items excluded from availability using a new filter block in the master items list. This enhancement streamlines quality assurance and cleanup, eliminating the need to check items individually
Where to find it:
In Tabit Office from an HQ site, go to Menu > Items
A new availability exclusion notification now appears at the top of the screen
Select the filter to only show items with availability exclusions applied. The no tax filter also updates accordingly now
Improved sorting and search for host device names
Managing PAD devices is now faster and more intuitive with enhanced sorting capabilities and a new search bar
Where to find it:
In Tabit Office, go to Support > Payment Device Settings
From here you can search for a device by name or sort in ascending or descending order alphabetically
Fix
Activity reports now calculate PPA without tips
Updating tip parameters no longer causes validation error in device settings
Tabit Guest
New
Flexible standby now available in Tabit Guest
To improve flexibility and visibility into guest preferences, a new Flexible Arrival Time field has been added to the Standby reservation form. This allows guests to indicate a preferred time range for their arrival, helping restaurants better accommodate standby guests. Guests can select an arrival time up to 3 hours before and after their reservation
All sites working with standby reservations from online booking have this automatically activated
How does it work?
When making a standby reservation, the guest will be prompted with Are you flexible?
If they toggle it on, they are then required to select a time frame in which they are available to arrive
Flexible reservations will have an availability time frame shown below their actual reservation time in Tabit Guest
Enhancement
Improved back-to-back indication in the reservation form
The Tabit Guest reservation form has been enhanced to make table selection smarter and more strategic. By adding clear indicators and labels, hosts can more easily prioritize back-to-back reservations, leading to optimized seating and higher occupancy rates
A new header has been added, separating recommended tables from alternative time suggestions, and a Back-to-back label has been added to the additional suggestions to further call out back-to-back reservations

When a back-to-back table is selected, there is a new indication on the reservation preview

Bill viewer shows bill as it appears in document viewer
The bill viewer in Tabit Guest now shows the same as the document viewer in Tabit Office

Before:

Improvement
Approved reservations can no longer be modified into Pending Approval
Before: Any reservation, including those already approved, could be modified and reverted to a Pending Approval status. This created confusion for guests who were unaware that their updated reservation would not be saved unless reapproved by the restaurant. Since the entire reservation returned to Pending Approval, their table was no longer held, leading to misunderstandings and lost reservations
Now: Once a reservation has been approved (manually or automatically), it can no longer be modified into a Pending Approval status. An alert modal is shown letting the guest know that the modifications they are trying to make require restaurant approval and they should contact the restaurant directly.
Pending Approval and Standby reservations remain fully flexible and can still be modified into any type, including Pending Approval

Tabit Kiosk
New
Order optimization now available on Tabit Kiosk
Customers can now optimize their orders on the Kiosk. For example, if a customer puts a burger, fries, and a drink separately in their cart, and the site has a combo that includes those three items, they will now be prompted to optimize their order.
