Checking the Kiosk Payment Device Status

Overview

The Device Status screen provides a quick overview of your device’s operational condition and connectivity. This screen helps you identify potential issues, monitor performance, and ensure seamless payment processing.

Follow the steps below to check the device status:

  1. Tap the lock icon on the top right

  2. Enter the admin code: today’s date (day and then month)

  3. On the Kiosk Settings Panel, tap Device Status

Understanding the Device Status Fields

The following screen will appear:

Here’s what each field represents:

  • Station Name: Name of the Kiosk Station

  • Merchant number: Store ID (configured in Tabit Office Payment Device Settings)

  • Merchant identifier: Terminal ID (configured in Tabit Office Payment Device Settings)

  • Configuration health check : The device performs a health check when this screen opens and each time a customer starts a new order

  • Device connected: If the device is disconnected, all fields below will appear inactive

  • FCC connected: Confirms if Freedom Pay is connected

  • Available entry methods: 

    • All – Swipe/Tap/Insert

    • Swipe only

  • New firmware version available: Indicates if an update is available

  • Freeway connectivity: Device connection to FreedomPay Gateway
