Creating a BOGO Promo Code
Overview
Tabit Loyalty includes multiple types of promo codes
BOGO promos are used to give the customer a discount for bundled items
Currently, BOGO promo codes only allow the customer to receive another identical item or item from the same item group
A Loyalty program is required to configure promo codes. If one is not currently set up, go here
Follow the steps below to learn how to set up a BOGO promo code:
In Tabit Office, go to Loyalty > Promo Codes > Promo Management
If you have multiple Loyalty programs set up, select the relevant one
Select Create Promo Code in the top right corner of the screen
Select BOGO
As you fill out the details, a summary will appear on the right side of the screen
Enter the following information
Reward name: This will be used for reference purposes and reports
Internal comments: Optional
Display name: This will be visible to customers on all platforms that the promo code is active. The display name will auto populate when the reward name is filled in but can be changed if desired
Redemption message: This will be visible to customers on all platforms that the promo code is active
Extra info: Optional
Enter the following, if relevant
Provider Name
Promo Value
Determine how many items to customers must buy in order to receive free item(s). You can also set a specific percentage discount. For our BOGO deal we're going to set it so that the customer must buy 1 item to receive 1 item for 100% off
Items to include: By default, all items are included in the promo. If you would like to only include certain item groups, enter them under Item group
If needed, a new item group can be created by selecting the + Create New button
Under Advanced you have additional options for items to include by a specific menu, menu section, offer, etc.
Items to exclude: If desired, specific items, item groups, offers, menus, etc. can be excluded from the promo code
Sites: If there are multiple sites connected, select the relevant one(s)
Order types: Select the relevant order type(s) (delivery, seated, takeaway) the promo code will be active for
Platforms: Select the relevant platform(s) the promo will be active for
Rewards selection method in order
Manually: Requires the customer to select the promo code to be applied to the order
Automatically: The promo code will be automatically applied to the order for the customer
More Options: Additional restrictions can be applied to the promo code requiring the customer to add a specific item to the order to qualify, or redeeming or blocking the benefit when a specific item code is added to the order
By default, the promo code will be set to be available always and for all days of the week. To limit it to a specific time frame or specific days of the week, deselect one or both of the checkboxes. Then, enter the relevant time frame and/or days of the week and times that it should be available. For our BOGO drinks Mondays promo code we will deselect Active for all days of the week and then select Monday under Select Day and then select Add
If desired, a minimum transaction amount can be set to be required for the promo code to be valid. Additionally, the promo code can be limited to a certain number of uses per order
Promo codes can be single-use or multi-use
Single-use codes can only be redeemed once and must be generated after the promo is created
Multi-use codes can be redeemed multiple times, and as such only one code is needed for all customers who use it. When multi-use code is selected you will be required to enter a code number which must be between 4-6 characters long
Check the summary on the right side of the screen to confirm that all required fields have been filled and that the details of the promo code are correct
Select Activate to finish creating the promo code and activate it
Then select Activate again
You will be taken back to the promo management screen

Here you can view the details of your promo. Because this promo is set to be active every Monday starting now, it has a green Active badge on it
Now customers can use the promo code 5555 on Mondays to get two drinks for the price of one
