How to Add New Menu Items to Third Party Menus

Before you start

  • If items are created in the third-party menus and OrderOut was not aware, the Item(s) will come in the orders as "General Item"

  • When new Item(s) are created in Third-Party menus, OrderOut needs to map the Item(s) to the corresponding Tabit menu Item for orders to come in accurately

Steps on How to Add New Menu Items to Third Party Menus

  1. Add Item In Tabit Office to Third Party View

  2. Save and publish menu through Third Party View.

  3. Add Item In Third Party Provider Menus (ex: Grubhub).

    • Based on the Third Party provider, follow the below instructions.

      • Uber Eats/Postmates

        • Send email to [email protected] and request the menu to be unlocked so changes can be made in the Uber Eats website

        • The restaurant will need to add the Item(s) to the Uber Eats menu

      • Door Dash/Grubhub

        • The restaurant will need to add the Item(s) to the corresponding menu(s)

*** Make sure the items have matching names and modifier configuration to the items in Tabit.  If the items do not match exactly, it can cause order issues or items to come in as “General Item”

  4. When menu changes are complete, have the customer email [email protected] – request menu to be fetched for new Item(s) added to Tabit and Third Party providers (Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, etc)

Provide a list of all Item(s) that were added and/or adjusted and which third-party providers that the items were added to.
