Tabit PAD
PAD V12.3
New
Manage menus directly from the PAD
Managers can now make common menu changes directly from the PAD without opening Tabit Office. This includes adding and organizing categories, adding existing items, creating new items, changing prices, and reordering the menu.
The feature has been enabled by default beginning with PAD 12.2.
Important: PAD menu management is available only for sites using a site-level menu. It is not available for HQ-managed sites using shared master items; those menu changes must still be made through Tabit Office.
What managers can do:
-
Add, remove, and reorder categories and subcategories
-
Add groups
-
Reorder items or move them between subcategories
-
Remove items from the displayed menu without deleting them from the catalog
-
Add existing items to the menu
-
Create new fixed-price or open-price items
-
Configure tax settings and optional prep station/barcode information for new items
-
Change item prices
-
Review pending changes before publishing
-
Undo recent display changes
Creating a new item or changing a price updates the catalog, while adding, removing, or reordering existing items affects the menu display.
Where to find it:
From the Manager profile on the PAD:
Operations > Operations tab > Menu maintenance
Connect MagTek DynaFlex II to stationary iPads over Bluetooth
Stationary PADs using Lightning-only iPads can now connect to a MagTek DynaFlex II over Bluetooth instead of requiring a cable.
This capability is available beginning with PAD 12.2.2.
The workflow includes:
-
Device configuration in Tabit Office
-
Guided Bluetooth pairing from the PAD
-
One PAD per payment device
-
Reconnection instructions when the payment device becomes disconnected
A device already paired to another PAD cannot be paired again until it is unpaired.
Note: MagTek devices are not Bluetooth-discoverable by default. They must first be made discoverable using a PAD with a USB-C connection.
Ownership issues are now highlighted on Taken and Delivered orders
On the TD screen, the Taken and Delivered tabs now turn orange when they contain orders with ownership conditions that could interfere with normal order closure.
Examples include:
-
Orders with no owner
-
Third-party orders, since integration/system users cannot be owners
-
Manager-owned orders when the site is configured to allow only Service ownership for order closure
The tab displays the number of affected orders and provides a filter so staff can identify them quickly.
This provides better visibility during service instead of allowing ownership issues to remain unnoticed until end-of-day processing.
Improvement
Paid-order changes that could create a negative balance now require a manager
Servers can no longer make changes to a paid order when the change could leave the order with a negative balance.
Affected actions include:
-
Item discount
-
Order discount
-
OTH
-
Void
-
Moving an item between guests or tables
-
Updating fees
-
Updating taxes
Only a manager can proceed with these changes.
This is now the default behavior and cannot be disabled. When there is a negative-balance risk, this protection overrides asynchronous manager approval configured for discounts, OTH, and voids.
Warning displayed when Offline Mode is enabled while the PAD is online
When a manager selects Operations > Offline while the PAD still shows a green connection indicator, the PAD now displays a warning before entering Offline Mode.
This is intended to reduce cases where full Offline Mode is activated for a payment-processing issue that may instead relate to Store & Forward.
Search orders by table number and server name
PAD Order Search now supports two additional criteria:
-
Table No
-
Server Name
These filters can be used together or combined with existing search criteria. Results continue to respect the selected date and open/closed-order filter.
Fix
OTC customer sessions no longer automatically print a receipt when ended from the receipt screen
For OTC orders using Guest Display, ending the customer session while the guest is still on the Print/Send Receipt screen will no longer automatically print a receipt.
This applies to payment methods that reach the receipt screen, including examples such as cash, charge accounts, and certain gift-card flows.
Tabit Loyalty
Loyalty V1.2.0
Enhancement
Improved customer export selections and validation
The Customer Data Export workflow now provides clearer and more consistent controls for selecting:
-
Series
-
Segments
-
Customer Groups
Loyalty program series are selected by default. Up to three segments can be selected, and validation prevents incompatible new and legacy segments from being combined.
Where to find it:
Tabit Office > Loyalty > Customers > Customer Data Export
Duplicate campaign sends are now prevented
Recurring SMS and email campaigns are protected from being sent again within 12 hours on the same day.
One-time campaigns cannot be sent again after they have already been sent.
Campaign Calendar now displays local holidays
The Campaign Calendar can now show holidays and special dates based on the account's country, allowing marketing teams to plan scheduled campaigns around relevant local events.
View reward redemption history and receipts
Customer Profiles now include reward redemption history showing:
-
Redemption date
-
Branch
-
Reward
-
Discount amount
-
Associated receipt
Open Customer Profile > Rewards > History, then select the receipt icon to view the transaction receipt.
Fixes
-
Recurring campaigns now display the correct last-send date in the Office campaign list.
-
Prepaid transaction times now display correctly in the customer card's Card Activity tab.
Tabit Kitchen
KDS V4.13.0
Enhancement
Mark all ticket items as preparing in one action
Prep-station staff can now select Mark all items as preparing from the ticket menu to update all applicable items at once.
Items already marked as prepared retain their existing status. Long-pressing the ticket header continues to mark the ticket as prepared.
New
Identify loyalty-member orders directly on kitchen tickets
Kitchen and Expo stations can now display the customer's loyalty-program series as a tag in the ticket header.
Enable Display loyalty program in the station settings to show the tag for loyalty customers.
Enhancement
More flexibility in maximum ticket count
The maximum ticket count can now be configured from 6 to 50 tickets, lowering the previous minimum of 12.
Where to find it:
Tabit Kitchen > Profiles > Presentation > Max tickets count
Highlight the order source on kitchen tickets
A new Highlight order source option displays the order source as a distinct tag in the ticket header, making it easier for kitchen staff to identify how an order entered Tabit.
Where to find it:
Settings > Profiles > Presentation > Highlight order source
Fixes
-
Scrolling the All-Day item list no longer unexpectedly opens item details.
-
Item notes now remain open after releasing a long press on iOS 26.
