Add a Customer to a Kiosk Order

Overview

This article explains how guests can add themselves to a kiosk order by signing in with their phone number and a one-time password (OTP), if supported by your kiosk build. This process links the guest’s loyalty account to the order, enabling reward accrual, redemption, and personalized service.

Step-by-Step: Customer Sign-In at the Kiosk

  1. Start the Order

    • The guest begins a new order on the kiosk.

  2. Select “Sign In” or “Add Customer”

    • On the order or checkout screen, the guest taps the option to sign in or add their loyalty account.

    • (Label may vary: “Sign In,” “Loyalty Login,” or “Add Customer.”)

  3. Enter Phone Number

    • The guest enters their mobile phone number on the kiosk screen.

  4. Receive and Enter OTP

    • The system sends a one-time password (OTP) via SMS to the entered phone number.

    • The guest enters the OTP on the kiosk to verify their identity.

  5. Account Linked

    • Upon successful verification, the guest’s loyalty account is linked to the order.

    • The guest can now view available rewards, apply discounts, and accrue points as allowed by your program.
