Managing Delivery Regions

Overview

Delivery regions define the areas the restaurant serves. Divide the overall service area into regions so you can manage availability as demand, logistics, or capacity changes.

Use the sections below to create, edit, hide, or delete a region.

Creating a New Delivery Region

Add delivery regions whenever the service area changes.

To create a region:

1. Open Tabit Order > Site Setup > Delivery Regions in Tabit Office.

2. Select Add delivery zone, then choose Polygon, Circle, or Rectangle. The polygon example below shows how to draw a custom boundary

3. Click to place the first polygon point, then click around the region's boundary. Finish by connecting the last point to the first.

4. Complete the new region's settings:

   • Delivery Region Name

   • Order Timing

     • Regular Order: Orders for the current business day.

     • Future Order: Orders scheduled for a later date.

   • Activity Times

     • Lunch Menu

     • Fri & Sat Test

   • Use Defaults: Fills the following settings from the default configuration.

     • Delivery Time

     • Min. Order Price

     • Free Delivery From

     • Delivery Price

       
       

5. Select Apply

6. The region appears on the map and in the list at the left. Select Save.

7. Select OK

8. The saved delivery region also appears on the PAD.

   
   

Creating circular delivery zones

Choose Circle to define a radius-based region. Enter an exact radius in kilometers to resize it. Alternatively, choose Automatic radius to create an editable circle centered on the restaurant with a radius of 3 kilometers.

For multiple circular regions, start with the smallest region nearest the restaurant, then create progressively larger regions outward. Review the delivery details, select Apply, and Save your changes.

Editing an Existing Region 

Edit a region to change its boundaries or settings, including delivery time and additional delivery cost.

To update a region:

1. Open Tabit Order > Site Setup > Delivery Regions in Tabit Office.

2. Choose the region and update the required settings:

   • Delivery Region Name

   • Order Timing

     • Regular Order: Orders for the current business day.

     • Future Order: Orders scheduled for a later date.

   • Activity Times

     • Lunch Menu

     • Fri & Sat Test

   • Use Defaults: Fills the following settings from the default configuration.

     • Delivery Time

     • Min. Order Price

     • Free Delivery From

     • Delivery Price

   • Edit Poligon

     • Changes the region's boundaries.

3. Select Apply

4. Select Save

5. Select OK

6. The region now uses the saved settings.

Hiding a Delivery Region

Hiding a region removes its outline from the map so you can redraw without deleting it or drawing over it. The region remains in the list and on the PAD.

To hide a region:

1. Open Tabit Order > Site Setup > Delivery Regions in Tabit Office.

2. Select the Eye icon beside the region at the left.

3. A line through the Eye icon indicates that the region is hidden on the map.

4. Select OK

5. The hidden region remains available on the PAD.

Deleting a Delivery Region

Disable a delivery region to stop accepting deliveries there. Hiding only removes its outline from the map. Delete a region when it should be removed from Office and the PAD entirely.

To delete a region:

1. Open Tabit Order > Site Setup > Delivery Regions in Tabit Office.

2. Choose the region and select Delete.

3. Confirm by selecting Delete again.

4. The region disappears from the map and the list at the left. Select Save.

5. Select OK

6. The deleted region is removed from Tabit Office and the PAD.
