Redeem Rewards at Checkout

Overview

The following steps show how customers can apply eligible rewards to their order before they pay.

Steps

  1. The customer Signs in to Loyalty during the online order (see this article).

  2. At Checkout, the customer can review the available rewards/balance.

  3. The customer then Selects the reward(s) they’d want to use and apply them, then proceed with payment.

What affects reward eligibility

  • Minimum spend may be required before any reward can be used. (Backoffice: A minimum transaction required to redeem benefits?)

  • A site can limit how many manual rewards can be redeemed in a single order. (Backoffice: maximum number of manual rewards in an order)

  • Sites choose whether multiple members can redeem on the same order. (Backoffice: Can multiple members redeem…?)

  • Certain items/categories can be excluded from rewards (e.g., fees/alcohol) via Restricted Offers (OfferId).

Paying with a Gift Card is separate from loyalty rewards; gift cards are chosen on the payment screen and support split payment when enabled.
