Tabit Kitchen

New

Split long kitchen tickets

Business case: Allowing cooks and expo to see long tickets in full without needing to scroll or expand the ticket

Long kitchen tickets can now be split into multiple side-by-side tickets. This prevents one long ticket from pushing the next line of tickets down on kitchen tickets or appearing as a torn ticket on expo, while also allowing kitchen staff to see the entire ticket

Where to find it:

In Tabit Kitchen, go to Settings > Profiles and check the box next to Enable ticket wrap

This is a profile level parameter and can be set on each profile separately

Marking all as prepared now bumps the entire ticket

Fix

Tips blocked when paying with gift cards

When a customer adds a tip and pays using a gift card, it isn't declared in the order data, leading to a discrepancy between what is reported and what is actually charged. This resulted in a negative balance and inaccurate reporting. To prevent this, tips are now blocked from being paid with a gift card

Tabit Guest

New

Copy the reservation management link with a tap

The reservation management link in Tabit Guest can now be copied and sent to a guest if needed

How it works:

  1. In Tabit Guest, locate the guest's reservation and select it

  2. Select the Copy icon at the top of the pop-up

  3. Now the reservation management link can be pasted where desired and sent to the guest

Improvement

Improved search functionality

Before: Phone numbers with hyphens or parentheses could not be found. The search only supported exact sequences of digits

Now: The search ignores special characters and returns accurate results
