Tabit PAD
New
Ingenico Payment Device Health Check -- stay ahead of payment readiness
Maintaining constant payment readiness is simpler than ever. Tabit PAD now features an integrated connectivity monitor for Ingenico and Magtek hardware, allowing staff to identify potential technical hurdles before they impact the guest experience.
Real-Time Status Visibility
Enhanced Icons: A updated card status indicator provides an immediate visual summary of the device's current connection state.
Detailed Diagnostics: A health check interface provides specific data on device performance, enabling managers to resolve connectivity issues efficiently and prevent unexpected failures during the checkout process.
For comprehensive details on interface behaviors and specific resolution steps, refer to our technical guide: Payment Device Connectivity Health Check.

Future inventory management now supported on the PAD
PAD now supports Future Inventory Management for TD future orders.
How it behaves: When you set an order to a future date, items with future inventory limits are shown as 86 with a counter that updates as you add items. For future orders, the PAD does not perform the reserve inventory action. Regular (today) orders keep the existing behavior.
Learn more about future inventory management.
Please note: The Stop Dish Count site parameter applies to regular orders only, not future orders.
What is Future Inventory Management?
Future Inventory Management lets sites limit how many units of an item can be ordered for specific future dates, so they can plan ahead and protect capacity, without having to reset inventory daily
Using this feature on the PAD requires PAD V11.10 or later

To support this feature, the site parameter Stop Dish Count has been set to only apply to regular orders and not future orders
Improvement
Tip threshold warning screen UI updated
The tip-over-threshold warning is now full-screen with clearer copy, so guests are less likely to miss it.

Loyalty QR scan now supports letters and numbers
PAD QR scanning and parsing have been updated to support alphanumeric values, so scanning the code adds the loyalty member as expected. This applies to all Loyalty modules, such as prepaid and gift cards, whenever a loyalty member needs to be added.

“Member not found” now shown when loyalty registration is disabled
When entering a customer phone or card number and it isn’t found in Loyalty, the PAD now shows a clear error message instead of suppressing the error.

Fix
Return cash now prompts printer selection when drawer isn’t connected
Before: Cash refund flows could show a “No matching printer was found” error, even though the refund completed, which confused staff and prevented printing refund documents.
Now: After selecting a drawer in a Return Cash transaction, the PAD prompts the manager printer selection modal (same behavior as seated orders).
Media Exchange loads now run after Auth Complete, regardless of client tip setting
Before: With MediaExchange Tip Behavior = clientTip, the PAD could trigger the load request (prepay-load-budget) before authComplete. This prevented auto-close for House Account loads, and in some cases allowed reversing the payment without unloading the house account. Gift Card loads could also be posted before authComplete.
Now: Load requests for House Accounts and Gift Cards are sent only after authComplete finishes, matching the behavior of noTip and tipByServer and restoring automatic close behavior.
Tip no longer sent in unlock request before Auth-Complete is approved
Before: Tips could appear as a separate payment row after reconnecting and relaunching, causing payment lines to look incorrect and confusing staff.
Now: Tip is not included until auth-complete is approved, preventing tip from being split into a separate payment row after relaunch.
Re-Order modal dismissal no longer adds items unintentionally
Before: Selecting an item in the Re-Order modal and dismissing it by dragging down added the item to the order in the background. It often wasn’t visible on the order screen and only showed up in Courses as waiting for Fire.
Now: Item selection is only applied when the user confirms inside the Re-Order flow. Dragging down to dismiss behaves like cancel and does not add the item
3rd party orders with $0 balance can now be cancelled after item removal
Fixed a lock edge case where Olo orders became non-editable after removing items, blocking Cancel Order.
Split Check now blocks payment when combo items are incomplete
Fixed an OTC Split Check edge case that allowed paying with incomplete combo items that have mandatory selections.
External Monitor Mode tap indicator restored
Fixed a regression where External Monitor Mode no longer showed the yellow tap indicator.
Tabit Office

Now:

Updated terminology for credit accounts and suspended orders
As part of our terminology alignment, we’ve updated how offline and alternate credit flows are labeled across the system.
These changes apply to:
Credit Account Configuration
Suspended Orders page
Excel exports from Suspended Orders
Terminology on the PAD will be updated in a future PAD version
What’s Changed:
Credit Accounts
Alternate → Manual Credit Backup
Offline → Store & Forward
This update affects:
Account labels shown next to credit account names
PAD Account Usage field and dropdown selections
Account status indicators (top-right of the account)
Red status label shown after saving
When Store & Forward is enabled on a primary account, it will now display:
Store & Forward payments enabled (inside the account)
Store & Forward (account status indicator)
Store & Forward (next to the account name in red)
Suspended Orders
Orders processed via Store & Forward will now display the correct source:
Ingenico Store & Forward
Magensa Store & Forward
This terminology will also appear in the Excel export
Guest seat numbers now appear in ascending order on the order timeline

Promotion redemptions limited to 99 max
To prevent invalid promotion configurations that may cause operational issues on the PAD (including crashes), the Redemption limit field is now restricted to a maximum value of 99.
Improvements to parameter validation and save behavior
We’ve improved how parameter values are handled in both the Bulk Configuration and Site Parameters pages to prevent accidental misconfigurations.
What’s changed
Empty values are no longer saved unintentionally
Fields cleared by mistake won’t be submitted as blank values
Leading and trailing spaces are automatically removed when saving
Only parameters that were actually changed are sent and updated
If part of a save fails, successfully updated parameters will still be saved correctly
These updates help ensure cleaner configurations and reduce the risk of operational issues caused by accidental input errors.
Enhancement
Restaurant content added to digital receipts
Restaurants can now add their own custom message to digital receipts, including optional clickable text and a link. They can choose whether this content appears at the top or bottom of the receipt.
Where to find it:
In Tabit Office, go to Settings > System Parameters > Online Shopper > Digital Document Addition and add text and/or links, and select a position for the message

It will now appear on the receipt as seen below

Fix
Offer prices now validated upon creation
ROS will now automatically round any menu item price that includes decimals to the nearest cent and save it correctly, instead of allowing invalid pricing that can cause items to ring up as $0.
Deposit transaction finalization data added to House Accounts records
Tabit Shift
New
Send notifications only to employees who haven't submitted their availability
To make it easier to send messages to the relevant employees, managers can now filter employees by those who haven't submitted their availability yet.
How it works:
From a manager's account in the Tabit Shift app, go to the notification center and select + Message to create a new message
Tap Send to, and select the option to send only to employees who haven't submitted their availability yet

Fill out the rest of the message as usual and then select Send
Download files directly to your device
All files (reports, roster card, etc.) can now be downloaded to your device

Build an empty schedule without assigning employees
Before: When using Auto staffing, cells would open according to employee quotas and employees were automatically assigned to them
Now: An empty schedule can be generated with employee quotas but without automatically assigning employees to the cells
How it works:
When creating a schedule, tap the three dots in the top right of the screen and select Create empty schedules

Then select which schedule to create and it will appear with time slots as configured, but no employees automatically assigned to them

Add links to manager messages
Links can now be added to messages managers send to employees, and when employees select the link, it will open in a new window

Improvement
Improved scrolling for weekly view
Before: Weekly view acted like an image. You could scroll left and right, an enlarge it by zooming in, but it didn't flow well
Now: Weekly view has a smoother scroll and is clearer, with morning and evening shifts aligned throughout the week

Tabit Loyalty
New
Allow customers quick sign-in with a QR code
Quick Identify is now available, allowing customers to identify themselves quickly using a QR code in the Customer Profile. This QR code can be scanned by the camera on the PAD or certain Barcode Scanners

Enhancement
Customize the Customer Profile
Additional customization opportunities have been added to the Customer Profile including:
Custom fonts

Custom loaders for both initial loading and internal loading

Custom menu icon image

Tabit Order
Enhancement
Add multiple images to an item
You can now add up to four images per item to enhance the guest experience on Tabit Order. Multiple images allow you to showcase different angles, variations, or details to help drive engagement and conversions.
Additional images will only appear on Tabit Order and not on other platforms such as the PAD or Tabit Kiosk

Tabit Kitchen
New
Display all default modifiers
Restaurants can now choose to display an item’s default modifiers (its standard ingredients/components) on Kitchen and Expo screens.
When enabled at the profile level, the KDS will show both the item’s default modifiers and any changes made to it. Default setting is off.
In Tabit Kitchen, go to Settings > Profile and check the box next to Show default modifiers

Now default modifiers will appear as below on a kitchen ticket
